So yeah...the fuel and tinder are laid, the wind is hot and dry, and - for good or for ill - one spark and our nation will be wreathed in flame.

My parents in their late 60s/mid 70s have said the same. They carry, saying “they’re not going down without a fight.”
Yeah when the people who couldn't be bothered to get off their ass this entire time are suddenly activated you know shit's getting close.
