Excellent point. If it's their insurance company. Give us the name. They will never get another penny.

Sometimes you can find lender and insurer info on the deed (public record) especially if the property is encumbered or has a current loan. I've no knowledge about DC, but lenders often require it.

Insurance companies a great at overstepping their authority. I'll bet if one digs a little deeper, that is the reason for refusing business.
