From what little I have seen they are organized and willing to square off with Antifa. I think those going to DC need an organized effort to help keep them safe but also to keep things from getting out of hand. Proud Boys could potentially draw conflict away from the crowds and other groups of people Antifa may attempt to attack.

I've heard reports that some of the Proud Boys plan to dress incognito to blend in with the crowd to keep watch or even dress as Antifa to sabotage them from within their own lines.
