You should connect w the local people in your state. Even a Boomer caravan of people that are local Republicans or some such. Forge those contacts in person, ask them how they're doing, meet up with them. They have sons, other connections, you'll get connected to people of your age.

None of this is the level of organization you're looking for, believe me, I understand. But it's the way to get started, and the way to meet people and begin to network.

If your state has an active Militia (VA does!) that's also a network to tap into.

My region is heavily Blue so connecting with people or organizing is challenging, but keep trying. Once in DC, look for hats & sports teams so you can say hi to people from your region, see who you meet!
