The problem is risk. One single unsubstantiated, evidence-free claim from any woman, just because she's mad, or jilted, or just for the hell of it, and her male accusee is finished. Career over, blacklisted, family and savings gone. There is no defense, no way to defend against it. The only way to somewhat protect yourself is avoidance.
