Yep they do. But when you live on a cash economy and live simply, the impact isn't nearly as noticeable as it is otherwise. Our baseline household budget generally comes in a percentage point or so below the published inflation rate, sometimes more. I typically only have to adjust the household budget about every 3 years these days, during obama it got adjusted annually to match inflation rates because obamacare was a cash sucker until we used a loophole to get out of it.
Once we get settled in the new place and get more self sufficient again in terms of food and household that will also make a difference.
