Well considering that every pic and video I have ever seen regarding Santa's reindeer doesn't have reindeer in it, he's going on a false premise to begin with. Reindeer don't look anything like the ones in the cartoon. The cartoon ones and the claymation ones are all standard deer, like a cross between a white tail and a mule deer. Not reindeer. probably because reindeer are rather ugly unimpressive animals as deer go.

Which is a fact, they do. But Santa's reindeer are magic, as is Santa. So normal rules don't necessarily apply here.
