I would be willing to learn how to make an app for the community and/or work with others who already know that stuff. It would be connected to the website of course, so we still have all of that. Problem is I don't know if apple and google play would allow the app since they are a bunch of communists. What do you guys think? Should we make an app?

yeah thats the thing. A lot of people use their phone more than their desktop or laptop. An app would be good for those who are always traveling too.
I don't know if you still can, but you used to be able to download apps from 3rd parties on iphones before. If that did happen we could have a mod sticky an official link for a 3rd party download.
Maybe by the time the app is ready, Section 230 will be gone, and Apple can't censor apps of boards they don't like.

If you're on Android you can go to this site on a browser, click settings and add to Home Screen. It will create an icon and the site will act as a standalone app.
