I just got back from Florida where there are no longer mask mandates thanks to Governor DeSantis. However, What is insane and very sad is that the vast majority of businesses are still requiring people to wear masks because at least half of the country have bought into the lie that masks are necessary now. Muh new normal and all. So now you got the retarded half of the country (democrats, CNN viewers, etc.) only patronizing businesses that are practicing all the mask and social distance bullshit. Which is why most of the businesses are still catering to their brainwashing and insanity.
You are right to some extent. Most of the big businesses (restaurants, Walmart, target etc) want you to wear one. I have not been involved with any of them making you put them on since lock downs were lifted. The smaller businesses don't care if you have one or not (at least the ones I've been to) I'm seeing more and more people not wearing masks now along with employees. Here is an idea: Set a fix date, for example Jan 4, 5 pm. Whereever you are at that moment and if you would usally have to wear a mask, take it off. Make it a sticky on tdw and see what happens. Not much to lose.

In the country where I live most places don't enforce masks. 30 miles down the highway, in the city, there are far more masks and more enforcement. I did run two security guards off that were hassling me one day, and I think one of the same security guards plus another employee I shut down another time. I quoted law, and ridiculed every stupid thing that came out of their mouths and closed distance until they retreated. The business did end up easing up. This was not in one of the bad states, but it was bordering a bad city.
