Honestly, it's the mandates. As long as there are mask mandates, there will be morally smug Karens, ready to pounce. Take away the mandates, the Karen's have no power, and people will start to fight back.
I just got back from Florida where there are no longer mask mandates thanks to Governor DeSantis. However, What is insane and very sad is that the vast majority of businesses are still requiring people to wear masks because at least half of the country have bought into the lie that masks are necessary now. Muh new normal and all. So now you got the retarded half of the country (democrats, CNN viewers, etc.) only patronizing businesses that are practicing all the mask and social distance bullshit. Which is why most of the businesses are still catering to their brainwashing and insanity.
You are right to some extent. Most of the big businesses (restaurants, Walmart, target etc) want you to wear one. I have not been involved with any of them making you put them on since lock downs were lifted. The smaller businesses don't care if you have one or not (at least the ones I've been to) I'm seeing more and more people not wearing masks now along with employees. Hopefully Florida will be the standard for the rest of the country
