I suggest learn to garden starting this spring because its more complicated than putting seeds or plants in the ground (remember CHAZ garden?). Gotta learn what plants produce well, what plants store well, when to plant, where to plant, how to space them, etc. Squash are easy to grow and stores for long periods of time
