It is not a cookie cutter situation. I married a man I thought would be a good husband. He was chronically unemployed, an alcoholic and eventually a crack addict. I held it together as good as I could, but when my son was six, I had had enough. We went back home and lived with my mother. I had to eventually keep my son from his dad because he was not a good example, he drank and partied in front of my son during the summers. My son's father died when my son was 15. My son is not a criminal, he's a good man. I did the best I could as a single mother. My son is funny, smart, loving and caring. He volunteers in our church's clothing ministry and is good to me, his grandmother and aunts. I implore you not to throw all single mothers into a heap and proclaim we are all the same. I never got any financial help from my son's dad, ever. I worked making minimum wage to make sure he had what he needed. My son lacked for his father because his father was a horrible dad.
If you don't mind my saying, you seem quite bitter about something. Your anger is disproportional to this woman's response.
There are absolutely, definitely women out there who can't keep there legs closed and thus results in this kind of thing. But there are also many men who are pieces of shit too. It's two sides to the same coin.
If a woman is willing to have sex outside of marriage before she is ready to raise a child in a loving and stable family, she is a problem and should be avoided. If a man is willing to have sex outside of marriage before he is ready to raise a child and provide for a family, he is a problem and should be avoided. It goes both ways. There needs to be more abstinence in this world by both men and women and a return to valuing marriage and family life. Our country is desperate for it.
