This ain't some millennial safe space bro... you know what people before 96 did? They sucked it up and moved on cause they had a mission and goal to achieve do that lol cause you sound lik ea snowflake looking for someone to tell them they're doing a good job. Go make america great then you can pat yourself on your back after you do something useful!
When my daughter was ten years old I gave her a paperweight engraved with what I told her was our family motto.
I will give it to you now because I feel you can benefit from adopting it as your own
"Never let anyone's opinion of you create your reality."
What matters in life is how you view yourself. At 23, you will find yourself being exposed to a lot of ideas. Choose carefully among them. At the end of the day (and at the end of your life) -- the person you alone will judge -- is yourself.
You are a pede. Learn to ignore stupid insults. It's a valuable skill. Most of the sort of comments you describe aren't even seriously meant as insults. it's just people venting their pent-up anti-wokeness, and hoping to scare off "woke" shills and trolls.
Your generation has missed out on learning and internalizing the saying that every school child use to chant on cue:
STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES, BUT NAMES CAN NEVER HURT ME!
First comment is very accurate. I was raised kind of in the transition (am 32yo now) and I can tell you things were a lot different. Men were moulded and shaped into being men. "Tough love" and a push toward being masculine. Now it is all feminized. The social justice push in social sciences (sociology, psychology) which started advocating that tough discipline was a poor form of raising children (it's not) such that parents simply let their kids whatever, combined with the feminist push for more female dominance in society (family), which simply meant less male leadership without the women actually taking charge and more importantly, taking accountability, with anything. It has all compounded into creating pussies. Many young men now are men that would have been laughed at among their peer groups for being faggots. It's unfortunate because this type of male rearing and forcing conformity toward the masculine is actually a good thing. We're sorely lacking it now. Gender roles were actually a good thing and we'd be better off as a society if we as a society promoted more femininity in the development of women and more masculinity in the development of men. Segregation among sexes in education would be beneficial to this and simply more acceptance of natural differences between the sexes in order to maximize strengths and our differences rather than all trying to be the same.
When I was growing up we used to make fun of 90s children because they were significantly different than their 80s counterparts. The 80s children were probably the last era of children raised without cell phones, the internet and social media at pretty much all major stages of their development. Thus, I wouldn't use 96/97 as the differentiating factor, I think it's straight up all 90s as even late 80s (me) starts to overlap with 90s.
That's good but most women do have good reason to. It comes from a lack of appreciation or true understanding of their status in society and who is responsible for allowing equality (men).
The State is the root of most of the problems between men and women dynamics. A society with no welfare system, no monopoly on violence and no government regulations in commerce, you'd see men have a natural power increase over women. Most of the government/economics policies over the last 60 years have been designed to redistribute the power from men to women in order to force equality. This oppression of men and unjust elevation of women has led to men being resentful and women being out of control entitled.
I think not all women are the same, don't hate all of them, some are still worth loving, but there are definitely lots of real cunts, whores and sluts out there, and now it's absurd that you can't tell a whore that she is a whore.
Age is not something you can achieve unless you put the time in. I was born in the 80’s, I was an idiot at 23. I was always conservative but didn’t understand that the wisdom that comes with age only comes from aging. I don’t really see it as the fault of you late 90’s folks. Those tasked with your upbringing and education lied to you. They told you the world was nice and you were special. You’re not and the world is a motherfucker, Mr. Trump has exposed it for young and old alike. They aren’t wrong about you being a metaphorical pussy, they also never said it’s all you’ll ever be. You are strong, you made it here and are clearly capable of handling criticism. You’re on your way to wisdom.
You’re awake. You refuse to believe what they tell you blindly. You’re on a path to being a responsible citizen aware of their civic responsibilities. We need as many as we can get. Your peers are malleable at this age, you can do some real work by showing them the truth and it sounds like you want to. That makes me proud of my younger countrymen.
Relax dude. You're on your way. You'll become your own man and leave that shit behind. Eat a steak and drink a beer. Buy a piece of shit truck and start working on it. Turn some wrenches, whatever, do man stuff.
If that's what you want. No one has to be a pussy.
Hi. I'm 10 years older than you. Let me give you some advice from the future. No matter how hard you try to be something else, you're always just going to end up being you. Understand that now and don't waste any time worrying about what other people think of you. The only thing that matters is what you think of yourself.
I don't know why, but the only time I've ever been in fights...someone called me a pussy. I suggest next time someone says thjat, pick up the nearest heavy object and beat them senseless. They won't ever call you a pussy again. Happened to me once at a bar , I picked up a mic stand and whacked a guy many times . He had a bad night.
If I slapped you in the face would you feel better? You're not suppose to like the rhetoric we throw at you and the more you get butt-hurt about it the better, hopefully you will get worse from us then what will be said to you in the public. We got to toughen you up. You're gonna have to deal with assholes, but you can also give it back.
The only think you can do is let it roll off you, don't take it seriously. After all, the opinions of negative strangers really gonna affect your paycheck and life that much?

You’re welcome, young man. Just know that most of us are proud of you.

It's only causes offense if it's true.

Because it shouldn't.
I think, if you're 23 and care what an anonymous internet poster says, you're an idiot.
If he had said, "I'm 9," then yes.
Block the jerkoffs and move on. Don't waste your time and energy on them. Be true to yourself.
No body likes you when you're 23.
