You know, I was premillennial (that Christ would come before the 1000 years) for nearly 20 years, and would have agreed with you.. hell, I taught classes on it, charts and power points and all.
I have years of training in and out of school. Read Greek and Hebrew fluently, have been a pastor for 10 years in the Reformed Baptist tradition.
About a year ago, just as covid bullshit was starting, I had the nearest thing to an epiphany, call it my red pill moment, when I realized how much I’d been lied to by mainstream narrative (churches, Fox News, how much false history I’d been fed,etc) , (I was also a never trump republican) that trump really fighting for us, etc...
Including, for many reasons. I am now convinced that most of revelation and the Olivet discourse has already happened historically (Preterist) but, unlike most mainstream post-mil (that Jesus will return bodily and physically after the 1000 years, not before, and the world is progressively converted), I would call my position POST POST MILLENNIAL - that the 1000 years were a period after a time of terrible trouble, the godless world empire was overthrown, and a Christian Kingdom was established for 1000 years, I like the dates 800-1800, but I’m not married to an exact 1000 years, so, give it take. 800AD - Charles the Great crowned Holy Roman Emperor to 1800AD - revolution and overthrow of Christian rule throughout Europe notably French Revolution and Napoleon. -
