For whatever reason many of you are being misled to believe that Mike Pence can save the day.
He cannot, and does not deserve to be the object of your scorn and despair.
Donald will need your help as much as he will need allies in Congress on the 6th.
Barring that, he'll have to take action from the Executive seat against the the criminals.
But Mike Pence does not have the power to unilaterally save the day.
Nowhere in the constitution, with the statutes and amendments in place since the 1800s events is he granted such power.
Try to find the text that grants him special powers on the 6th, but it's not there.
All of which as per Gohmerts suit are unconstitutional.
The 12th Amendment clearly gives rights to the VP. Attempts to alter that authority since have not passed any Constitutional test.
The 12th amendment doesn't give that power to him.
If it does, please paste the line of text where the VP is granted more than a procedural role.
The argument of the lawsuit being that line gives him the authority to count the votes he wants to count.
Whether any court would agree with that interpretation or whether Pence himself sees it that way is another thing. That's the line everyone is talking about. You pretending this line doesn't exist makes you a moron.
So you can see however that the text is clear.
They all get opened and they all get counted, with tellers and in the presence of congress.
He has no power to decide to hide or keep votes from being counted.
He simply doesn't, and people telling you he does aren't correct. Whether they're lying who knows.
They all get opened. That's the only definitive statement. Hence the lawsuit.
