Regularly given, to my non constitutional lawyer ass, means the opposite of "irregular" so if the votes are deemed kosher...i.e. they are not disputed by the court directly (vote changes such as removing 200K votes) nor the state legislatures which require a special session iirc then technically they are "regularly given".
I think this part is why it was important for the GOP to get their dual slate in by a certain date.

If Mike Pence decertified the vote without a court ruling in our favor yet and w/out a State Legislature doing something, it would be seen as a precedent that a Democrat would clearly abuse. This means we need to call our State Legislatures and GET ON THEIR ASS for a Special Session!

The fact that legislatures passed their authority on this stuff to Governors and Secretaries is lame and we are seeing the problems very clearly now. They were the original certifiers from what I can gather. We got this I think. And if it goes below 270 for either candidate due to disputes I think we will definitely prevail as each state gets one vote and we have more states represented in the Congress. Like 26 or something.

I shared the very same thought in a post tonight as well! I think that some major information will be released before the Jan 6th electoral selection. There is no other reason to have massive amounts of people there to support an action unless there is a near doubtless outcome, and ultimately the information that we need has to be absolute and undeniable by all sides- which is what I think Trump and his team have been holding onto until the right moment.
Knowing Trump, as well as you can know someone else's mind it is multi prong. People are going APE SHIT to fix this for us. By fix I mean using legal remedy.

You are assuming that a truth bomb would come out so huge and overwhelming, that the House and Senate would vote against the slate of electors. Is that correct?
You are assuming that the Electoral Act is constitutional and binding. First, even if that is true, it doesn't prevent Pence from putting that to the test by defying it and forcing a SCOTUS hearing. Second, the wikipedia article itself includes the reasons why many constitutional scholars doubt if the act is constitutional.
I really hope you are correct. I can easily see how you are. The key to you being correct is for Trump to have something so overwhelming that the entire country would rise up in fury if they found out. Then, he would have to extort the swamp to vote his way. Further, it would have to be more than just your typical filth on Biden. It would have to be something that would threaten their turn at the slop trough if they didn't vote against Biden.
