One of my old classmates from school froze to death on NYE a few years back after driving home and got stuck in the snow. No cell service (or a general lack of emergency services) up here. There's a whole lot of nothing spread out for miles and miles. For those who are thinking of moving here, you need to have at minimum a prepper mentality. You can't just run to the store and get stuff, the only store is usually about 30 miles away. Same goes for ambulances and police. Something to think about.
