Why don't we wear masks every flu season? Why aren't homeless dropping dead in the streets. They are immunocompromised, addicted to drugs and alcohol, under nourished, unsanitary, sleep outdoors, yet they aren't littering the streets with corpses. My lying eyes... masks are muzzles. Masks are elite pissing on you like a dog on a tree.. Masks make us not communicate with one another. Masks hide emotions. Masks make strangers suspicious. It disgusts me more than regular trash to see wet, soiled, trampled on masks. It's a reminder of how shitty people are at being aware of themselves and what they do. Just like wearing the mask and what it means or what is happening to them - the gesture is the same - hypocrisy.

Here are the only justifiable times I can see to where a mask. Hospital during cold/flu season when interacting with patients(really only if they’re immune compromised or elderly), visitors to nursing homes, surgery, and if you are experiencing symptoms and you go out. Most of these things were already in place prior. And ultimately you can’t check people for symptoms, so there’s no way to enforce it anyways. Those infrared thermometers they use to check temperatures on peoples forehead aren’t accurate for taking peoples internal temperature. They’d maybe show you had a fever if you’re running a very high fever, but it’s never going to accurately reflect a 99–100 fever.

masks are now pollution, right next to the gatorade bottle, or doritos bag. i see them in my neighborhood, on the floor, or parking lots.
