I was out of work for 6 months. Married with some savings but had to get rid of a car. Keep networking and think about how your people skills could translate to another industry. Things will get better - they always do. Hang in there.
Are you particularly attached to the kind of work you do? If not, then perhaps this time off can be used to develop additional skills that can move you in a new, less vulnerable, direction.
Service jobs have been hit particularly hard because they are very people oriented. Those who seem to be getting by are in areas which were able to adapt to a "work from home" format (mostly using computers).
I don't know how long this power struggle between the the patriots and the commies is likely to last. But if it were me -- I would seriously consider reorienting my path to a more secure occupational area. Even if this lockdown ends soon -- jobs will be scarce in the service area due to business failures. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
I was less particular about what I did at points of my life (wore many different hats, so to speak) just to keep moving and make investments. Everyone has their own strategy -- that's the joy of capitalism!
You have to enjoy what you're doing or it's hard to get out of bed and face another day.
I too, am a "people person" but ended up doing a variety of things before running a small business. Life often takes you along paths you never anticipated.
We're retired now (or as my husband laughingly put it last night, "when did we get so old?") Age sneaks up on you.
But I am glad we shut things down before this Covid stuff started. After all those years, I was "set in my ways" and would not have enjoyed adapting to the challenges of operating under Covid. Out in the nick of time (as it were)!
Well one option is could always become an anti-marxist, and anti-corruption fighter, and HOLD THE FRONT LINE; means you'll have income <1 year each decade if you're "lucky", until we MAGA California back.
Other options:
Don't fight the commies / marxism.
Don't fight the corruption.
Move/flee, until the zombie-plague of marxism finds you again. Or the corruption spreads so much you'll still have your votes negated no matter which state you live in.
Commies and corrupt want us out so bad, they even cut off our water for 2 years (in two weeks).
Fight them now, or fight them later. HOLDING THE FRONT LINES!!
Truck driving is a realistic version of Learn to Code IMO. No one suggests it but it's a good job that most people could probably do unlike coding which is a skill even most programmers can't do.
There comes a time when you have to say fuck it and either change industries or move somewhere less restrictive. If you are waiting for the government to help you out, you will always be disappointed. I'm glad you decided to move.
The real purpose of that bill was all of the sweet, sweet kickback money flowing into the Deep State from all the international colossal money transfers. Hundreds of billions for overseas interests?
Yeah, this has NOTHING to do with Americans. Well, apart from those in the Deep State. It's ALL about them.
there was one briefly called unwoke.hr but I think it triggered so many delicate snowflakes that it got spammed to death
Be awesome as hell.
You could kick off by selling stuff you've accumulated and is stored away somewhere. If it's collectable, so much the better.
transference of wealth - they are only giving you 2k so you can make your minimum interest payments - this is a bank/credit card bailout

Don't look back. Fuck California.

Most programmers cant code?
Yes most programmers can't solve a simple fizzbuzz problem according to Martin Fowler

$600, or $2000, is just hush money.
