There was a decent lunatic liberal crowd back then who hated Reagan, but without internet, most of them just stayed lunatic in their own basements. They got no traction. Demographics were different, but i think trump won by almost as big a margin as Reagan in 84.
I actually think its bigger than Reagan '84. I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area but no longer live in California.
I told my wife on election night that I had a gut feeling that Trump actually won the legitimate popular vote CA (taking away the rampant vote fraud, and the Republican absentee votes which were either thrown in a paper shredder or switched to Biden).
A lot of people who used to vote liberal everything don't care for the shutdown of restaurants and other cultural attractions. Let's be real here, the only good thing about a city is that there are tons of things to do in a few blocks space. When that's gone, living in a city sucks balls compared to living in the rural countryside.
