Notice how big tech has not said one word about the potential repeal of 230?

Why is that? Because they want it to go away

Remember net neutrality? Every fuck company in the world was crying up a storm about that but we all knew why

Same logic applies here

If 230 is gone completely, big tech will be able to afford lawsuits while small sites won’t. Small sites will be forced to censor because if they don’t, they will be sued and shut down

Like thedonald.win

230 needs to stand but sites like Twatter and Facistbook need to be considered publishers and 230 not apply since they censor.

This. Boss keeps saying repeal 230 but we need it. Rather, we need clarification of it so when a site censors anything other than porn and gore it loses protections.

With some good ol' antitrust hammer, there will be no more 'big' tech. You got too big, you get smashed up. Rinse and repeat.

agreed, fine line between equal protections for different views. We shouldn't abolish all discourse.

We don't even need to reform it. JUST ENFORCE IT.The provisions already exist, we just don't hold the big companies to them. The objectionable content loop hole isn't as big as they pretend it is, and curating content specifically prevents them from enjoying those protections.

Take away section 230 and not only will Twitter and Facebook become more controlled in the name of 'we can't allow you to say things that will make us liable' but places like Gab and Parler vanish, because they can't afford frivolous lawsuits.
