They should... If he's proving a point and straight up hacking it like the enemy would it requires him taking one for the team. By doing this during a live election he's showing proof of concept that should have been legally presented in court from a whitehat perspective... Now they'll be forced to try him for a criminal act and actually listen to him confess to how he committed the crime.... It's the exact opposite of how this shit should play out (but genius all the same)

White Hat is given permission to attempt to barge/hack so it's technically legal.
Black Hat doesn't give a shit and does it anyway.
Technically this dude is breaking the law so they could arrest him. It's bullshit since he's showing them what a joke the ENTIRE THING is, but knowing the FBI/DOJ, they're waiting to hook and book his ass right now. Maybe even planning a raid and he'll wind up dead for 'resisting' or he had a 'gun' or something.
