How I look at it: I traded away some of my life to work for a stated amount of money in order to buy an item. If you attempt to steal this item, you, in effect, are stealing a portion of my life I will never have back. By stealing my limited time on this earth, you will be shot/killed/stopped. That’s it. I value my life and time on earth more than your desire to take my shit.
