when walmart ws doing their grand expand, my little town did Everything we could to keep it off the island. Damn but those bastards snuck it on ... JC penney had closed, they remodeled etc without fanfare or signs. didn't put up their walmart sign til aftr opening. we boycotted. we lost Lots of small businesses. but they won in the long run... booooooo hiss. Have never EVER liked them.
