I saw something online the other day about a test of the country's emergency broadcast system, I think, then nothing further. No warning ever occurred on my phone on TV.
However, have noticed, since Summer I'd guess, I have had multiple localized notifications on my phone (never before has it happened) telling us there was a curfew first, a couple of times. Maybe over "protests" back then. Then lately, AT&T repeatedly tells us they hear the electricity is going to be turned off possibly due to high fire potential, (elec. co. cannot seem to repair their equipment to alleviate that problem, in spite of all he fires they are allegedly causing, they just randomly shut the people down instead, and the fires hit elsewhere???) Anyway, AT&T seems to be telling us constantly that they are doing their best to "provide wi-fi service" throughout, if it does shut down.
There were a couple of bad fires recently but they said there were high winds feeding these fires. No there were not. One fire did have strong winds -- which are normal this time of year here. The others, there was no high wind. None. Not true. But there was a big. Anyway, this local system has been tested repeatedly recently, never before. Something's off or up IMHO.
