I would like to propose, along with your ideas, that if we are going to clean things up, let's wipe the slate clean of ALL laws, other than the Constitution, and start fresh.
We have FAR too many rules and laws and regulations right now which makes it easy for some factions coughTHELEFTcough to pick and choose. This way, we could loose the long, meandering, often nanny-state style and usually confusing three page laws along with "You may not kiss a pig on Sundays".
As long as it stops at just kissing, I don't care about a pig smooch on Sundays.
Absolutely not. Every citizen of the United States is a citizen of the United States period. We are an entire country of legal immigrants. If we have laws that properly vet applications of citizenship then there is no problem. I can tell you the current application of citizenship is non-trivial (at least that is true as of five years ago). Obviously we have major issues with ILLEGAL immigration, but those people are not (legally) voting anyways.
My wife is an immigrant citizen. She worked hard to accomplish that feat. She knows more about our countries (real) history and our constitution than most who are born here. Take away her right to vote and meet the wrong end of her gun.
Same for freedom of speech. None of this muh hate speech bullshit that marxists and the ADL keep pushing down our throats as a mean to silence anyone who they disagree with. First they block speech, then they throw you in jail for wrong think.
Not new laws, but new articulation of the further legislation that has been built on them and a fundamental restructuring of Congress and the way new laws are passed in this country. Treating Law like it's something set in stone and not always currently in the state of change and amendment like everything else is a dangerous and stupid way to think. Everything is always changing. The Constitution is so solid that it actually allows us to go in a flip and upend Congress and replace them with representatives who are actually going to represent us.
We do not need a new constitution or new laws. We need the current constitution and laws to be UPHELD, which they are not.

Term limits alone would be a massive game changer
Also do away with the lifetime paychecks.

^ and this
as long as it's in english no clarifications are going to help, the constitution is perfectly clear...
This. It's not the game, it's the players.
They have them in New Zealand, not far fetched for NY to have them, tyrants worldwide all share the same desire to control people.

we need a digital bill of rights to compliment our physical rights to prevent the absurdity of the internet from leaking out into the physical world
