Everything leads back to China, even when Russian hands are on it. Russia is owned by China, its been like that since the fall of the Soviet Union. People need to understand the culture between China and Russia. China used to be considered Russia's "little brother", in that Russia took China under its wing. Russia used to see itself as raising China up. Then once China became bigger than them and got sufficient advancement, and Russia fell even further, it became clear that China no longer saw itself as Russia's little brother, and considered itself as surpassing Russia.
There was a documentary made in the last few years about the China-Russia relationship dynamic, and in it they had public opinions from people on the street, and the running theme was Russian's considered China as the future of Russia, in the sense that was where the prosperity is going forward. So now the dynamic has changed and Russia is China's "little brother".
So the truth is, everyone gets their marching orders from China. Doesn't matter if it's N. Korea, Iran, Russia, or whoever else....they all do China's bidding. China is behind literally EVERY. THING. This is their campaign against the west, and more specifically, against the U.S. We think we have many enemies from many directions, and we do, but it all gets stoked from one source one way or the other: China. Whether direct or indirect, even if it's a war with another country, it's still China moving pieces around on the board to play their games, and this has been going on since even before WWII.
What many people don't realize is that China's plans for global conquest started even before WWII, and China had plans to conquer the world during WWII. It's just that something always got in the way. In WWII, the only reason why China didn't join Russia and Germany before they turned on each other, was because of internal conflicts going on in China that kept them from being able to devote resources to it and commit. Had things been slightly different internally in China at the time, the history of WWII would be quite different. That's not to say the outcome would be fundamentally different, but it would have definitely been a longer bloodier war at the very least.
There's a reason why the Chinese are historically depicted as duplicitous and shifty and untrustworthy: Because that's what China is and always had been. For the last thousand years they've screwed and double crossed pretty much every outsider they've dealt with in some way, and for the last thousand years people have seen what went on internally in China. They've been subjugating their own people and committing atrocities against them to get them to fall in line for all that time. One merely needs to look at all the dynasty maps that show how China's borders changed. China actually started out relatively small compared to the landmass they control today. They slowly but surely spread like a disease, subjugating those that could be, and offing those that couldn't be.
