I have never owned a firearm. I was thinking about buying a kit and building my first AR. Am I biting off more than I can chew?

Is that hard to get into? I'd like to do that as a side gig but I think you need to have a business location

You'd be better off offering to clean people's guns and other equipment. You'd be surprised how lazy people are with that stuff.

They have step by step videos online for how to assemble the gun and each part

It takes more effort to set up a new cellphone than to build an AR.

I don’t know if you can still find an excellent AR for $600 these days (for the past year anyways). You used to be able to, in the before-times, no doubt. You can find a good to great AR for $600 - but IMO buying a pre-assembled excellent AR will cost you at least $800.

Source: Bought an excellent AR for $850 about 6 months ago from PSA, I don’t want to know that I overspent. It was also one of the only ones I could find LOL.
