There are people near you who do beautiful woodwork, for example; they're waiting for you to ask them to make your kitchen furniture. You may not get everything in one place. If you must buy imported junk, at least be sure it's a patriot-owned business you're buying it from.

We don't need a patriot big box store. That is a virtual impossibility due to the sheer number of people who would work there. These stores didn't turn into cesspools of liberalism from the top down. They got that way because their employees are primarily low effort shitbags who will sue at the drop of a hat over any perceived injustice.
With people like that working for you, the only way to avoid non-stop costly litigation is to go full-SJW so if anyone tries to sue you they get pointed to the section in the employee handbook showing where what happened is against company policy and that their problem lies with an individual and not the company itself.

No, what we need is a million new Mom & Pop stores across the country. I go out of my way to do my grocery shopping at my local butcher. They used to just be a butcher shop with a few dry goods to go with the meat, now they are a small scale grocery store with fresh veggies, frozen sides, spices and marinades, breads and pasta, etc. They are planning to expand into the adjacent mall slot in the next year.
A privately owned pharmacy opened a few months back and is now going gangbusters because people like me are tired of going to these giant pharmacies. Granted, it's probably also a front for an oxy pipeline, but w/e, it's still clean and friendly and better than CVS.
These are the kind of businesses we need to be patronizing. Avoid the big box stores at all costs. Avoid Amazon. If you can't find something nearby, go to the manufacturer's website and try to order directly instead of going to Amazon.
If their price is too high to buy direct, call their customer service department and see if they can direct you to an online retailer that's not Amazon. There are lots of semi-local businesses with an internet store front that will happily take your money. You may have to pay shipping, but isn't that a worthwhile price to pay to support your neighbors instead of giving Bezos and his ilk another billion dollars in their pockets?

2030 forced me to re-evaluate my purchasing habits — and now the vast majority of my shopping is done at local small stores.
The odd thing is — I may spend a bit more on what I purchase but I saved thousands of dollars not going into a big box store this year.
