Some people and places are just like that. Was raised as a liberal and couldn't stand Karl Rove and the Bushes. Grew up traveled the world and got red pilled. My opinion of them hasn't changed.
Hahahaha omg are you me? I still lean liberal on a few issues but not enough for me to not only vote for Trump but drive 10+ hours through 2 blizzards to do so.
I "used to be" a liberal. But I don't think I moved. I always opposed corporatism and authoritarianism, supported individual rights (including guns), and endorsed nationalism. That never fully aligned with the American left, but now it is completely opposed to it.
"Classical Liberal" is the term. A lot of conservatives are "small l" libertarians by nature. They just want to be left alone and they don't really want to be involved in other peoples' business.
Also... I think a lot of people don't understand that the nastier side of corporatism always leans to the left.
The argument is always about "tax cuts for the rich". But backing off on draconian, anti-business rules benefits small businesses far more than big businesses. Big businesses use draconian rules to keep new players out of the game. They don't care if they pay another few million in taxes if they're making multitudes of those millions in profit from their competition being wiped out.
I don't go to either. If someone supports any of these treasonous megacorps like Walmart, Target, or Amazon (which is just scratching the surface), they cannot call themselves patriots. There is no excuse to continue to support these organizations.
Believe it or not, some towns have NO other options bc when Walmart and/or Target came to their towns, they lost what small businesses they had. Not everyone lives in or even close to cities with more businesses to be choosy with.
Sure. You can take that personally or realize shoplifting is a major issue and that’s a small deterrent especially against a cashier and a customer in cahoots.
Heck, Costco is decidedly middle class and up depending on the location and you actually get a more thorough receipt check there.
I don’t think there are “pure patriot” (there’s a biz name) places to buy the items at WallyWorld. And for many the household budget doesn’t permit %30 more to shop at Safeway or Vons or whatever grocery store that has union labor costs (again, the race to the bottom with what Target and WalMart pay).
Haven't been since second term Bush. Cause my hippie self hated the establishment.
Then my late 20s, I just hated their quality.
Now I just hate their everything. And I have to audit them weekly.
Too many fumes from offgassing plastic shit when you walk in there. Stings my eyes.
In that case don't ever step into a Harbor Freight as they reek of Chinese rubber.
At least Harbor Freight's pricing matches the quality of their products.
I kind of like the smell of harbor freight haha
Northern tool much better.
Avoid Orchard Supply, Home Depot, and Lowe's.
And of course, don't buy anything from Amazon.
New parts for your old car are out of the question.

I know a lot of Home Depot stuff is made in China. But the stores don't stink like Walmart.
Lowes gives 10% vet discounts. Just avoid buying Chinese. They have American options for a lot of tools and what not.
Maaan, and Target is French, right? Thank God for Fareway. We have Menards in the Midwest, they’re privately owned.
Home depot is the shit

Conservatives are the new liberals.

I started boycotting when they started screaming about guns and saying illegal immigration is great. That was 2-3 years ago.
Just remember that their main competitor, Target, is much, much, MUCH worse in terms of promoting far-left ideology.

A good alternative

I first read that as "now I just hate everything", which is about where I'm at.
