Flash mob protest?

Hundreds of people filling carts then simultaneously walking out.

I would imagine that if someone were to be planning something like this they would be considering not to bring phones or rfid credit cards. Also would be thinking to leave the plates off of their cars and wearing face masks, hats and ordinary clothing.

I bet that's the sort of stuff that they would think about....

suckmycorona 24 points ago +24 / -0

Things don’t change when our yearly earnings are impacted. But will change like a light switch if it impacts quarterly earnings of big business.

14
nermal 14 points ago +16 / -2

Would it even be illegal to fill a cart and walk out? What would the recourse be, if any? People forget their wallet all the time..

13
Captainzoomer 13 points ago +13 / -0

It's not illegal. Not illegal at all.

6
JuicyfearsMAGA 6 points ago +6 / -0

I think we should get as many of us as possible to do this

3
FullAutoFlintlock 3 points ago +3 / -0

"trolley" spotted the North Carolinian... or the europoor

2
AmericanPatriots 2 points ago +2 / -0

One should just discontinue shopping at WalMart.

Leaving full groceries in a cart and walking out as a "protest" isn't us.

QEBL486 10 points ago +13 / -3

Get a bunch of seafood and hide it in the shelves all over the store. Especially the feminine hygiene isle 😂

10
Captainzoomer 10 points ago +10 / -0

The employees are so indifferent that they'll just restock all that seafood, rotten or not.

There are military bases with less camera coverage than Walmarts have

2
WhoMurderedSethRich 2 points ago +2 / -0

Walmart treats every customer like a sticky-fingered criminal. Constantly watching and eyeing you down. Checking everyone's carts on the way out the door.

23
Usernameunavailable 23 points ago +23 / -0

Can we boycott something I don't already boycott so I can join in on the boycotting. I feel so left out. P.S. Thank you for walking out.

12
Serioussurfaholic 12 points ago +12 / -0

Hey, you can still raise a stink on social media. Point out shit like this is why you boycotted in the first place.

I am talking to a bunch of my local protestors about hanging out in front of Walmarts with our flags instead of our usual city buildings and reps' offices.

The sucky part is there are zero local supermarkets where I live. Only big box stores/chains. The only small businesses in my area are restaurants. I frequent those as often as I can to support them, but that's the downside to living more rural. We have a lot less shopping options. :(

2
The_Viking_Squatch 2 points ago +2 / -0

Man it's shit like this that makes me happy I live in a rural county stuck in the past.

I have A local grocer in my home town of ~300. There's another local grocer in the small town of ~300 at the opposite end of the county. No big box stores. No Walmarts, no food cities, no big name anything apart from dollar generals.

2
Jarypepron 2 points ago +3 / -1

Same here. I go to Shaws because its the smallest we have but I will never order from Walmart again. They delivered a package in the middle of my goddamn road and it got hit by a car. I got a coupon.

7
GrizWallerOGV 7 points ago +7 / -0

Just remember that it's 30 years of globalism that should turn you against Walmart. Not just one tweet.

1
The_Emperor 1 point ago +1 / -0

This^. One idiot employee or contractor who let their TDD show does not move the titanic of a company like Walmart. Hell , some asshole director could literally destroy hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of lives and probably have less oversight on them than a lone Twitter troll.

Not defending Walmart (see above) I know well how their corporation works, but Iits not this way. Sam Walton's children or the board of directors are not running thier shit Twitter feed. I wager this low-mid level guy/gal is already out of work, and possibly their boss, too, thanks to the blowback.

7
Inalienable 7 points ago +8 / -1

Also, Walmart's quality is literally shit tier, Aldi and Lidl are better yet cheaper on the budget!

7
CornPopin 7 points ago +7 / -0

Ill spend more for American all day long. Its been hard finding American, but was getting better under Trump. Im gonna try harder i quess.

I hate shopping at WalMart anyway and aside from all the other reasons to not shop there, the biggest one for me is how they treat people there. Not that I really blame the employees necessarily. They're always ridiculously short staffed. But if I have to wait in line more than a few minutes to check out, that's unacceptable to me. If I have to load all my stuff into my own cart and no one even attempts to help... nope.

0
seejayem 0 points ago +2 / -2

most of the time i just opt for the self checkout. it’s far more efficient than waiting in line and then dealing with a cashier. usually just takes a few seconds and i’m done.

1
HeavenlyTrumpets 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah. At the one near me though, even that line can be crazy long. They have plenty of registers but only open like 2 out of 20 (the ones staffed with checkers). I don't like using self checkouts at places usually either unless it's really THAT serious that I get out of the store ASAP... cause it takes jobs when really the store should just be staffing more checkers. Anyway all of these reasons are why you'll find me in WalMart about twice a year on the rare occasion when I need something right away and nowhere else has it.

4
MoreAmericanThanMost 4 points ago +4 / -0

Thousands of people should do this. Walk into wall mart, fill a trolley with shopping, look at their phones and walk out. If they say anything you can tell them you saw the news about their tweet and you dont want to shop there anymore

3
Fourtyandfourtyfive 3 points ago +3 / -0

May be a dumb question.

Seen several screw Walmart posts on the Don

No clue why the sudden surge of hate because not one has had a link to a news story or tweet.

Why we mad at Wallyworld???

3
SauronWasFramed 3 points ago +3 / -0

The senator from missions posted a tweet that he was going to contest the electoral college. Some wallyworld social media told him that he was a #soreloser.

Screw them

2
Fourtyandfourtyfive 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you.

I already don’t like shopping there.

They must be making too much money

Gonna help them out with that!

  1. Enter and grab shopping cart.
  2. Fill with frozen perishables.
  3. Abandon cart in in automotive section.
  4. Repeat.
2
Badradness 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agree, fuck those commies they sell China shit anyways and fuck China too

2
JuicyfearsMAGA 2 points ago +3 / -1

Our Walmart trips should actually include going, filling up a cart to the top, and parking it in the store and walking out.

Give the lazy govornment dependent employees something to do

2
Puppies4Lovies 2 points ago +2 / -0

Asian markets are the cheapest where I live. They don't have everything I buy but what they do have is a great deal, especially produce.

We all need to do this and start supporting local. Fuck Walmart and their cuntbag social media team.

2
MiddletownDreams 2 points ago +2 / -0

i might buy an expensive item at walmart and then return it right before the return window ends which is usually 90 days

1
SauronWasFramed 1 point ago +1 / -0

Careful. They can exercise the right to refuse your return.

2
pookiee68 2 points ago +2 / -0

Walmart has been HIGHER priced in my area for a while now. Local, family owned grocery chain is much lower on many items. Don't believe Walmart lies that they have the best price.

During the "No Grapes" farm worker protests in California, this shopping cart thing was done all the time. Great way to justify teenage vandalism. Works great to destroy trust and profits at a store.

Load up the carts w grapes, and wreck shit was how it went down from the people I know who did it.

1
Emperorvoid 1 point ago +3 / -2

If tons of people did this, and left a piece of paper explaining why, Wal Mart might get the message, but then again those who work there might get a different take on it. If you do, don't put meats in your cart, or other refrigerated items, as they will be thrown out to the garbage if they are left unattended and that is just shitty.

4
Captainzoomer 4 points ago +4 / -0

Technically, you would be helping to feed zoo animals. I volunteered at a rescue type zoo (not the crazy lady's who killed her husband) and we would get several garbage cans full of meats and veggies every week. Lions and tigers can eat some pretty foul meat. Humans have evolved to be such pansies as far as food consumption goes, but that's a good thing.

You are one BADASS!

Plus it is super hard to shop in Walmart while listening to Warroom—ugh Costco is even worse. I watched the whole PA hearing driving to and from Costco and shopping inside. I always hope people hear a bit of what’s going on since they may not even know there have been hearings going in for the past month

What a way to disrupt Walmart business the way Antifa disrupted and destroyed local black and white business owners. If a steady stream of people walked into Walmart, Target, Sam's and Costco, filled carts to the brim and then walk to the exit and leave the cart there and walk out! What a statement that would make!
