I don't know if you frens are all familiar with Signal, but some tech/coding frens have looked through it and it all appears much safer than the FACEBOOK owned Whatsapp. I've switched and its pretty user friendly. Highly recommend it as the encryption is apparently loads better.

Signal is fine if you simply want to keep normal conversations private. Anything else, you should be using alternate commo methods anyway.
I agree. The issue is that so many things that are normal could be considered not normal by others. So I definitely want to keep everything private lol.
