I dont know if Pence has the "showmanship" to pull this off.

However, I never bought Pence being a deep state actor. He's not obscenely wealthy for a career pol, he's deeply religious to the point of not dining with other women, and his sons have exemplary military service records. For all intents and purposes he is a righteous man through and theough.

I do think he will do the right thing and have the constitution to do it even if it's hard. What he does though, is definitely subject to speculation.
