The truth that we know now is that Hitler completely bankrupted the country running on pure debt and was at the point of default and food shortages, that is why he HAD to go to war, just for his country to survive. All socialist economies are the same, the only thing they are good at is war.
Finally, it is relevant that almost all national socialists and fascists you talk to today (and by that I mean real fascists, even the Mosque shooter in New Zealand for example) all think the Chinese form of government is the ideal form of government for the world.

Germany was already deeply bankrupt during the Weimar Republic because of the absolutely brutal requirements placed in the Treaty of Versailles post-WWI. He literally created a new currency based on work and said a metaphorical “fuck you” to the international banking cabal. The same one that is still around today. WWII was a banker war.
