China is making a huge mistake. They are attempting to give people enough economic freedom to industrialize, but no personal liberties (like to speak out against the state). But personal freedom and economic freedom are inseparable. The internet is a great example. Today China is trying to deal with the internet because it is already here. But a society with no personal freedom would have never allowed something like that to develop. The rise of the early internet in the USA didn't just magically happen, it was driven forward by the outcasts and radicals who didn't have a say in the old system.
Every communist country does this. They lock in the current time frame like things are going to be that way forever. The USSR had the biggest steel mills, they were the first to put satellites in space. Everybody thought they were the next thing, but it turns out that they fell on their face because they were unable to move forward.
China is going to drive off their freedom loving entrepreneurs and talent to western countries. In addition, they will likely be able to successfully choke off innovations like bitcoin, where western countries likely will not. From this, their capital markets will be unable to decentralize, while western ones will.
Western countries will openly accept diversity so that they will reduce the white populations. the democrats want white pop reduction while the republicans who love big business and open borders want it at a slower rate.
