There are 5 reasons I'm not taking the vaccine:
There have been no long-term clinical trials of the vaccine. We have no idea what the long-term side effects will be (and anybody who claims there won't be any side effects is outright lying to you...they don't know, they're just guessing).
I'm a healthy 34-year old man who's probably in the top 10% of my age bracket in terms of overall health and fitness. I also have no pre-existing conditions. Based on that as well as my first point above, that means it's probably more risky for me to take the vaccine than it is for me to just catch COVID and be done with it.
The government and the media are refusing to answer any questions or criticisms regarding the vaccine. It's a never-ending barrage of "take the vaccine! if you don't, you're a conspiracy nut and a piece of shit! don't you dare question us!" Anybody who can't accept questioning or empathize with people who are skeptical of their viewpoint/narrative is somebody you should NEVER listen to.
People will say "the vaccine isn't to keep YOU safe! It's to make sure you don't get others who are more vulnerable sick!" Yeah, that's fine and dandy, but the WHO/CDC have specifically said that you can still spread COVID even if you get the vaccine. So...feeding off of point #2, if I'm healthy and not at risk if I get COVID, and I can still infect vulnerable people even if I'm vaccinated, then what's the point of getting vaccinated in the first place?
In my opinion, once you've been vaccinated, that's it. The pandemic is over. You don't need to wear a mask anymore and you don't need to socially distance. But once again, the CDC/WHO have said that we must continue to socially distance and wear masks even if we've been vaccinated. Again, what's the point then of getting vaccinated if it won't change anything? Either I'm getting vaccinated or I'm wearing a mask. Not both. And if you're saying I still have to wear a mask, then I guess I'm not getting vaccinated.
