Had some family friends spend years in court to keep their daughter who was so messed up from their drugged up birth-mother she had to be fed through a tube for the first few years. Add on top tons of medical complications and plenty of medical emergencies, the girl grew out of those problems and became quite amazingly healthy and fit in well at school (she was achieving a normal life). Then her birth mother came back into the picture.
