Cool thanks. I saw an article about the woke Brit government shooting fist fireworks off and wondered where it originated. Looks like it’s been appropriated throughout history. I know the black panthers used it as well as a black power symbol. I tend to think the latest use aligns more with black power and the Panthers’ intent on overthrow and thuggery.
I didn’t read it all I just skimmed it. I knew it as a commie symbol, but it doesn’t surprise me big tech is changing the symbol. I answered the question about the origin...the point or place something begins, not the meaning behind it.
Looks like it started as earlier as 1848...in the U.S. WW1.
