I find that it takes too much time to set up. Also with my experience gopher holes can be too long and deep. Would be best to catch the gopher before it goes into the hole and escapes. But it's always good to have a back up plan, bring your buddies and go to each of the gopher hole entrances. That way if it gets away from you your buddies will be able to catch them when they pop out of the other openings.
