I have family up in Alberta near Calgary. They say they call Trudeau "small potato". Can this be verified? If this is true, I find it twice as hilarious as when they first told me.

AngrySerb1 5 points ago +5 / -0

Lmfao yes it's true. I'm in Ontario and I hear people referring to him by small potato here and there. But I prefer to call him more vulgar names

Did you just stutter through text? Impressive.

That’s probably because the US has been subsidizing pharma for the entire world.

3
AwareNonCompliant 3 points ago +3 / -0

Everyone else’s drug prices are about to go up. US drug purchases have subsidized low drug costs all across the globe. Drug companies will have no choice but to raise prices elsewhere and they’re pissed about it. That’s why they worked so hard to torpedo Trump this election.

Thank God, now I can afford to pay for the drugs I already paid for but receive no discount because I haven't already paid for the insurance policy that I already paid for.

In general I agree. Drugs almost always treat symptoms rather than curing the underlying illness. And many illnesses today are caused or exacerbated by poor diet and sedentary lifestyle.

There are many legitimate pharmaceuticals however, and sometimes even just minimizing severe symptoms can be lifesaving.

My go-to to check new Doctors is to ask for a cholesterol blood test. If they don't order the LDL-P test which is a separate vial I'm out. It tests the particle size of cholesterol, which is what causes issues not the amount. In my experience most Doctors no longer diagnosis, they punch symptoms into a computer out comes a treatment designed by Big Pharma, that's how they get paid by insurance. They don't read new medical research after they graduate.

Preach, researched keto 5 years ago. Fixed acid reflux within 3 days of starting. Been keto since. What's crazy is if you are in the process of losing weight your cholesterol rises because that's what moves fat around your system. It's absolutely nuts how much sugar controls the markets.

Theres lots or good stuff out there. I do believe that our Canadian Food Guide up here does NOT have health as priority. Same as this covid...there isnt a lot of coverage/people talking about how to beat the virus when you get it. Vitamins water exercise

Seriously, don’t use drugs for things that can be remedied with diet and lifestyle changes

Thanks for the unsolicited medical advice, Dr. BasedRedPillZeus. I'll let my psych no that I no longer require his services.

They tried to put me on blood pressure medication & I told them to go fuck themselves. Some dumb twat I worked with told me that she’d rather be on it so she can be a fat ass instead of getting in shape.

Is there anywhere to check which drugs are affected or is it all? Stopped taking some medicines because of price and would love to be able to get back on them...

11
IncredibleMrE1 11 points ago +12 / -1

It's a blanket rule. The big ones are going to be insulin and epi-pens, but all prescription drugs will probably see price decreases.

Nope Fed judge blocked it

"U.S. District Judge Catherine Blake in Maryland ruled that the administration had rushed the rule without giving the public a chance to comment, in violation of federal law."

Since when has that stopped congress from passing whatever fucking stupid shit they want, when they want?

MissTrotter 5 points ago +5 / -0

Correct. Blocked nationwide.

They’ve been in effect for several months, at least with the one medication I’m on. There was a $40 copay for several years. Then $4 a few months ago and each refill, since. True story.

Only for Medicare patients or for everyone?

6
MissTrotter 6 points ago +6 / -0

Medicare. But blocked nationwide. It was an interim rule. Judge agreed with groups who sued alleging rulemaking process was not followed.

Stop taking pharmaceutical drugs for your ADHD/Depression/Anxiety/PTSD/Mood Disorders and look into the research and documentation of microdosing psychedelics like psilocybin mushrooms or lsd! That means taking doses at subperceptual levels as to not trip, but for strictly medicinal purposes! There’s a reason they’re rated as scheduled one drugs and not because of their misuse as a party drug, but for their transformative, therapeutic results of healing the mind that prescription drugs do not!! The pharmaceutical companies are not your friend, and they don’t want to cure you, but keep you sick enough to keep buying their drugs!

Look into nutrition if you'd rather not take psychedelics. I was told by a nutritionist about a study done on nutrition for various mood disorders. They had them take large doses of certain vitamins/minerals and were able to stabilize their moods - I think she said it included things like schizophrenia as well as depression and anxiety. I also read an article about a small study on nutrition for dementia that showed great promise. They too took large doses of certain vitamins and it kept them from declining further (especially in earlier stages). There isn't a lot of money in this for drug companies of course, so I doubt they've managed to get any larger studies done, but it's still very hopeful.

“Checkmate Drumphtard! Under a Biden/Harris administration, not only will prescription drugs be free, so will all medical visits! Socialism works!”

People who believe this, voted in this past election.

Margincrew 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fake news bruv! He killed ACA, doesn't that mean we all die? What a funny world and he will never get any credit for this even though drug prices are a huge cost to the average American

and, just like under clinton, you have further conglomerization of drug companies until you're left with a small handful that'll need to be regulated to all hell in order to keep them in check- setting bad precedent for that and all other industries

this is a very modest win today for a couple slaps in the face later on. be careful
