There is no technical difference between a frame of video and a still image these days. Both should contain embedded data that may or may not include GPS data, copyright data, time and date, f-stop, aperture, color space used in the rendered version of the RAW data, lens used, and even the number of exposures the capturing device has made in its lifetime.
I am a professional photographer.
Many web applications will strip this data from the image and some photographers include in their contract that this information must NOT be removed.
So, when I see ANY image (no way to tell if it is from a video or a still) the first place I go is to the embedded data to check its authenticity.
Pretty sure if you capture a frame from a video, if it has an exif info, it will be from the capture of the frame and generation of a new image by your screencap application, not from the original taking of the video.
If only the technology existed to search an image and find its related information/context history around the internet, as well as original posting dates and source. IF ONLY
Information/knowledge is just like money. When it is given to you, it is possessed but not respected. When worked to earn, it is far more understood and cherished. If you care, do your homework.
How would anyone know WHEN that photo was taken?
There is no EXIF data embedded and no IPTC info either.
