He and his personal political organization and affiliated groups have direct access to substantial resources to mobilize people, fundraising, and a lot of other resources. These resources could be brought to bear on whipping votes for a special session, organizing actual, physical actions in PA and DC, etc. To date, he has not made even the slightest effort to do any of these things.
Is he busing people to DC or Harrisburg? Has he used any of this political resources for anything besides his own personal political ambitions? No. What- exactly- has he done to override "leadership" beyond making excuses of "...but leadership..."? Nothing.
His "efforts" have been nothing but posting nonsense on Twitter and signing on to letters that are not worth the digital pixels that they are printed with.
Here's the thing- his PR stunts aren't the problem by themselves. The result of his PR stunts (that do nothing but promote his own personal ambitions) is that everyone spends days and weeks saying, "Oh, Doug is on it.
