I've been e-mailing him thanking him for fighting and especially for voting no on the NDAA. You have to realize that Cotton did not have an opponent in this years election. The dems sent no one. So Cotton has been running around the U.S. fighting for other Senators and helping them win their campaigns. His main focus was Georgia and right after the elections he hopped on board campaigning for GOP reps. I trust him.
"Thank you for contacting me concerning the integrity of our national elections. It’s good to hear from you, as always.
Fair and free elections are a bedrock principle of our republic. The Founding Fathers had the wisdom to specify a constitutional process for our elections, with the state legislatures retaining most authority, while preserving an oversight role for Congress. Contrary to what you may hear in the media, legal voters and the Electoral College determine election outcomes. The commentary and expectations of the press or anyone else play no role in the process of certifying election results.
Like you, I’m concerned about allegations of voting irregularities, fraud, and illicitly counted ballots in the elections held on November 3. It’s especially galling that the same people who’ve spent the past four years denying the results of the 2016 elections now claim it’s urgent that we accept their projections for the 2020 elections without question, oversight, or review. The American people deserve an orderly resolution to this election in accordance with the law and facts. Evidence of voting irregularities and fraud ought to be investigated and resolved through appropriate legal channels, in order to protect Americans’ confidence in the electoral process.
Our system of elections provides President Trump, like any other candidate for elected office, the right to legal remedies and recounts when appropriate. President Trump is exercising his rights by seeking an accurate count of legally cast votes. The mandate of public service relies on the certainty and legitimacy of election results. Once the results of these elections are settled and certified, the will of the American people will be done.
Rest assured I will remain vigilant to ensure that the rule of law and the votes of the American people triumph over the manipulation and distortions of special interests, political parties, and the media. I will continue to protect the integrity of our elections against all threats.
I’m honored to serve as your senator. You, your family, and our state will remain on my mind and close to my heart in my work. Always feel free to call my office at (202) 224-2353, or visit www.cotton.senate.gov for further information."
