What is in dispute is how the world has responded to the 'threat' it poses and the opportunity it has provided many governments to go all fascist and dictatorial with the willing support of the useful idiots.
Unfortunately, once the media runs off with a stupid idea, it's almost impossible to stop it. At least we've cut down on the prevalence of routine infections, but at what I would consider an absolutely unacceptable cost.
