We get energy from two things, the sun and nuclear fission. Nothing else produces our energy. Blocking it is crazy stupid.

Oil is produced by life. Life energy comes from sun. Wind is powered by the sun. Hydro plants are powered by water flowing downhill from where the sun dropped it after picking it up from lower levels.
