They are great for non-lethal self protection. I do not recommend them in a gun fight however.

I bought an American flag at Lowes. Has a 3 section metal pole. Not very impressive in a serious fight, but it’s something. Can take the bottom section off in about 2 seconds. Not very long then, but something a little better than your fists.

Agreed but they are technically illegal in DC so conceal or consider something different if you care about that type of thing...

Like I said, it's probably worth the risk. Just keep it concealed. If a cop sees it you'll be sidelined.
