.Republicans currently have a razor-thin majority of 50-48 in the Senate. If Democrats win both seats, then the balance of the Senate would be 50-50. And if Mitch McConnell retires immediately after the runoff who takes his place? You should find out who is on the governor short list for that position. With the way Mitch is acting I believe this is a secondary plan. Mitch retires after a 50-50 Senate and is replaced with a Democrat giving them the majority. Having both the House and Senate in control of the Democrats will make Donald Trump's next four years that much more difficult

If Trump remains president then the senate would remain controlled by the republicans because Pence would be the tie breaker. If Cocaine Mitch was to retire then the Govenor of KY would appoint somebody to take his place. Depending if he appoints a R or D would decide which side controls the senate. The new majority leader would be voted on I think just by there own party unlike both sides in the house. I could be wrong on that but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋

What you just said is pretty much exactly what I said as far as what would happen if mitch quit. I'm banking on Trump remaining in the whitehouse thus the senate will remain in the hands of the republicans.🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
