Lobbyists write the laws. Congress "sell" the laws to us. After passing said law, said lobbyists & friends make a generous donation to the "Freedom for Children and Jesus Foundation" also conveniently owned by said congressman. Rinse and repeat. It's democrats, it's Republicans, you name it. We are owned by corporations and as a result, owned by china. We took our eye off the ball, focused on the middle East for 20 years and poised china to infiltrate us. Communism never took it's eyes off America. Trump couldn't say he was running against communism in 2016 because people haven't heard the term since the cold war. However, it's more relevant today than it ever was before. This is it. Fight for your freedom. Or die laying down.

This brings up a more fundamental question.
How do you stop Congress people from becoming corrupt? You can put any number of laws to curb the lobbying, but they will always find ways to circumvent it.
Perhaps a drastic measure is needed. Perhaps we have to have a system where every single business interaction a congressperson has, has to be recorded and made available to public. This will obviously cause a huge problem, especially for the special interest groups. But thats the only way I can think of.
