Dunno about China, but Vietnam is having huge celebrations too. That surprised me considering how careful they have been. However turns out that Vietnam actually has a pretty interesting quarantine system. If someone tests positive for Covid, they lockdown every building they entered for weeks. Kinda harsh, but it would work. Even if didn't work, it makes people eager to self report, because if you don't, the residents of every building you enter hates you if you knowingly walk around with covid.
Not saying we should do that here, but it would be effective.
So what? Let them celebrate for the last time before GEOTUS gets #FourMoreYears and totally buries China's economy.
