Title.

Looking at the Rossi Ranch Hand. I know nothing about it other than it gets my dick hard. Leaning heavy at something lever action.

Wouldn't mind a nice carry pistol.

Have a Winchester 1200 stainless

I know people love Glocks. They aren’t for me. For whatever reason the grip doesn’t fit my hand very well on any of them I’ve tried.

Moral of story, try any hand gun you want to buy in your hands before ordering.

This is why I carry and xD. Just fits better. Grip angle is important in a pistol. 1911, Glock, Sig all point differently.

Love the Hellcat. I can carry one extra mag and have 28 shots ready to go. With the shield, you would need 3 extra mags.

Id start with a caliber and go from there. For carry I'd go glock 19

Get one that feels comfortable and fits your hand.

For a pistol I really like the Sig P320 series. I can’t comment on the Army version of it, mine predates the army using them. It’s more accurate than I am.

My first gun was a M&P sport II AR. I couldn't take the chance of our government banning them. I bought a 9mm baby desert eagle after. Satisfied with both.

Glawk 19> anything else on the market

What is your need. Firearms have different purposes and fill certain gaps. A pistol is great for carry, Shotgun great for home defense, AR great for longer range defense, 6.5 creedmore bolt action for enemies of the state.

Pretty damn close to AR territory

What’s the purpose you are trying to fill?

1
B0nafidetarzan [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, I have home defense down with the shotgun.

We also have a real old SW snubnose .38 special. I don't know shit about that other than it has 5 screws on the frame.

I should get a carry pistol, but want tons of other stuff. A hunting rifle is on the list.

Knowing what I have, what voids do you think I should fill first?

Get a reputable pistol in 9mm or 45acp.

Your shotgun can likely double as a hunting firearm easily enough; mostly just by swapping ammo.

I’d suggest you look at Glocks (personally I don’t like them), S&W M&P series, and the Sig P320 series. There are others in this range that are also really good. I think Walter has some good 9mm in the $600 range.

Try them in your hands before you buy. I don’t like how Glocks feel in my hand, which is why I don’t use them.

After the pistol I’d suggest building an AR-15 or getting a hunting rifle in 308. Personally I like 6.5 creedmoor more but in a civil unrest situation 308 is more commonly available.

For the AR-15 I’d recommend sticking with 5.56 for the same reason as using 398 for a hunting round; in civil unrest it will be more commonly available.

Sounds like you need some range. I'd recommend an magazine fed bolt action. The Savages just clearance at Walmart and I got like 5 for $49 with a $50 rebate So they paid me for the guns. Look at a 6.5 or 30-06 stay away from calibers like .223 they are always the first to sell out in a panic. I can still get my rounds for my creedmore and 30-06.

A good combat pistol falls right in that range. You could fit an AR in there too with palmetto state’s build kits if you pick up a lower. (Easy to build)

Carry pistols are very very personal but I have come to love the walther pps. Alternatively glock 43x or the hellcat are good choices too. For a combat pistol glock 19 or 17 or whatever makes you giggle.

I guess, depending on if you are more worried about riots and unrest or a civil war, that’s either pistol or rifle respectively.

Glock.

BTW I have a lever action .357 which is a blast to shoot. Shooting .38's in it suppressed make my knees weak!

Nomoralcompass89 2 points ago +2 / -0

M&P Shield is a good carry gun for around 450.
